The Student Activities Department is hosting Academy Award-winning costume designer, Ruth Carter, as the second speaker for the Distinguished Speaker Series on March 2. 

The Distinguished Speaker Series (DSS) is a signature program under the leadership of Student Activities, that aims to provide the university and surrounding community with world-class speakers and lecturers. 

This event is FREE and open to the public with priority seating given to UTRGV students, staff and faculty with a valid UTRGV ID. 

The doors will open at 7 p.m. to UTRGV staff, faculty and students, and at 7:15 p.m. to the public.
