We invite you to join us for the 2019 Biomedical Research Awareness Day (BRAD) Event!

What is BRAD? BRAD is a day in which we raise awareness on the importance of Biomedical Research AND the vital role animals play in biomedical research.

Did you know that animals have contributed to many medical discoveries?

Treatments for chronic diseases, such as heart disease and diabetes, have been developed and surgical techniques have been perfected to increase successful outcomes and survival rates in humans. Pet health and quality of life has also improved due to the humane involvement of animals in research.

Currently, over 95% of animals used in research are fish and rodents, with only a few percentages of larger species used only when necessary.

Join us and learn how biomedical research SAVES lives and how we take care of the animals that take care of us!

Wednesday, March 27 at 10:00am to 1:00pm

March 26 - Edinburg - University Library Lobby and Auditorium; March 27 - Brownsville - PlainsCapital Bank El Gran Salón and Harlingen - HCEBL 1.132
