Join us for an afternoon of culture, community, and celebration at Charreada, UTRGV’s annual event honoring the traditions of Charro Days.

Date: Wednesday, February 26, 2025

Time: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Location: BSTUN Lawn

Experience a captivating performance by Ballet Folklórico Tizatlán de UTRGV, take part in hands-on activities, and enjoy exciting attractions including a petting zoo, rides, and more.

Make sure to bring your appetite and explore the student organization fundraising section, where you can purchase delicious food while supporting campus organizations.

Students can also register on-site to compete in the Best Dressed Contest, Grito Contest, and Elote Eating Contest.

We encourage everyone to dress in traditional Mexican attire and be part of this cherished campus tradition.

We warmly welcome guests to join in the celebration, though ask for your understanding that only currently enrolled UTRGV students who register at the event can participate in the carnival rides. We appreciate your cooperation and can’t wait to celebrate this special occasion with everyone!
