EVENT: CME-SOM Best Practices in Medical Research: Data Management & Analysis in Research

CME CREDITAt the conclusion of this event, learners who submit completed evaluations will receive 1 hour-AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.

PRESENTERS:

  • Richard Quiroz Digital Scholarship Librarian, UTRGV SOM

OBJECTIVES:  Upon conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Determine key foundations of the Research Data Management Lifecycle

2. Create knowledge of the software applications available for data management planning, collection, and analysis (such as the DMP Tool)

3. Introduce methods for ensuring privacy and security of collected data from human participants such as De-identification, anonymization, and pseudonymization

4. Discover storage, preservation, and research output sharing for discoverability, and future reuse

5. Discover the knowledge of Open Scholarship initiative and framework (such as discoverability and reuse) and several repositories and tools that can assist with this (such as the Open Science Framework).

**Attending 5 of these sessions in addition to completing and submitting corresponding session evaluations will earn attendees  a "Certificate of Medical Research".**
