Browsville, Tx-Dia de los Muertos Baile is set for Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 6-9 pm at the Casa Bella apartments in Brownsville, Texas.

Dia de Los Muertos is a traditional Latin American holiday that Residence LIfe has proudly been celebrating with all UTRGV students for the past four years. The event will feature a baile, drinks, food, and an altar to welcome back the souls of deceased loved relatives for a brief reunion.The first 250 students to attend will receive a free Day of the Dead T-shirt sponsered by Pepsi! There will also be a Catrin and Catrina of the Night contest, so dress to impress! 

Nayeli Garcia, Housing Coordinator of Casa Bella says "Dia de Los Muertos is an important traditional event in the Latin American culture where the lives of those who have passed are celebrated rather than being mourned for. As custom, the baile will consist of music, drinks, food, and an altar where students are free to place pictures of their late loved ones."
