About this Event
In 1995, director Mamoru Oshii brought to life a vision of Masamune Shirow's manga Ghost in the Shell (1989) in an animated sci-fi film that became a milestone of the cyberpunk movement. Visually stunning, this motion picture resonates today with its philosophical look at A.I. and transhumanism. The Science Fiction and Fantasy Interest Group hosts a discussion of the 1995 film. Opinions on Ghost in the Shell as manga, video games, or other media adaptations are also welcome.
