Former NASA astronaut Jose Hernandez pursued his dream of space travel since high school. Growing up in a migrant farming family, he worked tirelessly before earning a degree in electrical engineering. Hernandez excelled at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, contributing to advancements in medical imaging and nuclear non-proliferation efforts. Meeting his inspiration during the astronaut application process boosted his confidence, leading to his eventual selection and a biopic, "A Million Miles Away", detailing his journey.
