Need to find external funding for your program/research/team? Unsure how to begin the process of identifying funding opportunities and how to navigate the SOM grant submission process? Attend this session to learn how to find funding opportunities, determine if you are eligible, and which offices in the SOM and UTRGV are part of the process for submitting a competitive grant application. Grant writing can be complex and time consuming, which is why the SOM has staff in the Associate Dean of Reserach Office to help.

At the conclusion of the grant writing session, participants will be able to:

• Determine if you meet funding opportunity eligibility criteria.
• Understand the key pieces of a grant proposal.
• Coordinate with UTRGV grant support services.
