FOLD Panel Discussion – "Unfolding Social Issues"

Four UTRGV faculty members, including Dr. Young Rae Oum (Sociology),  Dr. Ruby Charak (Psychology), Dr. Cathryn Merla-Watson (Literatures and Cultural Studies), and Dr. Mariana Alessandri (Philosophy), will present papers and have an open forum with the audience, moderated by Dr. Friederke Brühöfener (History).

This is a part of the larger event "FOLD: Art, Metaphor, and Practice." FOLD features an exhibition of contemporary works by 13 female artists and lectures by seven scholars from different disciplines in the arts, humanities, social sciences and physical sciences, who each explore the concept of the fold in terms of form and conceptual metaphor.
