Dr. Lecours will present “Nationalism, Secessionism, and Autonomy”. The Talk will argue that the nature of autonomy, more specifically the extent to which it evolves in time, may condition the contemporary evolution of nationalist movements. It ponders the “Why does secessionism strengthen, or weaken, in nationalist movements within liberal -democracies?”.
