Join us for a discussion presented by Dr.Chris Packham on his journey through research using the James Webb Space Telescope on Tuesday, January 23 at 6:30pm! Launched into orbit in December of 2021, the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is the largest telescope ever placed in space, allowing astrophysicists to study the full history of the cosmos and representing a profound step forward in our understanding of the universe we inhabit. In his presentation, guest speaker Dr. Packham will highlight some of the recent images produced the by the NASA-led facility, discussing his own research that utilizes JWST, and introducing the next-generation flagship observatory, already in initial design stages.
