About this Event
The SFFIG conversation on Wednesday, February 22, at 2 pm is on "The Golden Age of Science Fiction." The Golden Age refers to the period from 1938 to 1950 when dozens of authors who would become giants of science fiction launched their careers, and many of the themes now common in science fiction were explored for the first time.
No preparation is necessary, but a short set of reading is available free for anyone interested in sampling some Golden Age stories by Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, and Ray Bradbury. Contact Dr. Saldivar at manuel.saldivar@utrgv.edu for the stories. Anyone at UTRGV is welcome.
Anyone at UTRGV can subscribe to the SFFIG listserv to receive occasional announcements. Just send a blank email to: SFFIG-subscribe-request@listserv.utrgv.edu And you will get a prompt to confirm the subscription.
