The “Showdown” event welcomes Vaqueros back on campus

Brownsville, TX – The Showdown is an outdoor event for students to network and prepare to return to campus at UTRGV. The Vaquero Showdown features an evening of live music entertainment by DJ Ruben, recreational activities and inflatables.  Student Leaders from Undergraduate Recruitment will be conducting campus tours for students and families during the event. Residence Life and the Student Union will host a variety of games and prizes! We will provide free pizza to all guest, while suplies last. 

The  Showdown on the Brownsville campus is scheduled for Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 5PM to 8PM and will be held at the BCASA in Brownsville, TX

The event is sponsored by the UTRGV departments Housing and Residence Life, Student Union, UREC and Undergradute Recruitment.
