Join us for a performance by the UTRGV Wind Orchestra and the UTRGV Symphonic Winds, both comprised of student musicians from the Rio Grande Valley!
The UTRGV Symphonic Winds performs a variety of literature for winds and percussion. Conductor Vanessa A. Treviño will lead the ensemble in a performance that includes: John Mackey’s “Lightning Field, Frank Ticheli’s “An American Elegy”, Richard Meyer’s “Pablo!”, John Philip Sousa’s “King Cotton”, and Alfred Reed’s “El Camino Real”.
The UTRGV Wind Orchestra performs an eclectic variety of literature for winds and percussion. Conductor Saul Torres will lead the ensemble in a performance of music that includes: John Philip Sousa’s “Esprit de Corps,” Michael Gandolfi’s Vientos Y Tangos, Eric Whitacre’s October, Philip Sparke’s Dance Movements, Antonin Dvoark’s, The Slavonic Dances and John Philip Sousa’s, Solid Men To The Front.
